“ We came here on a Friday during Happy Hour. Had a Mac and Cheese and Stella for 12. - Happy Hour M-F 2-5pm - Quick seating. Sit at the bar. - Right after 5pm = Gets busy. 6pm and beyond = Jam packed! - No Kraft Mac and Cheese! Very cheese and yummy crunchy toppings. If only there was an option to put ham and bacon...nom nom.. - Domestics at $3 to Sangria or Margaritas for $7 - A better Happy Hour alternative to Rock N Fish. ”
“ My favorite place in LA! Best place to catch an event with really cool people. Drinks are always strong and thirst quenching. I love how this place has older men dressed in suits. Nothing sexier than that! No 21 year old boys here to babysit, just a good more mature crowd. This place is more like an adult version of Chucke Cheese. Order your drink from the bar downstairs or the more private one upstairs and take a short flight of stairs into the game room. Games where you can shoot deer ( sorry Vegetarians), or straddle that motorcycle and take a ride while holding your drink. Yes, this is the only time it's ok to drink and drive. This place can bring out the kid in you! Keep in mind you get a game card worth enough to go play upstairs if you spend over $10. Happy hour is from 2-5pm Monday-Friday. I usually order nachos off the H.H menu, but nothing to give a 5 star Yelp review for. If anything, come here for the drinks and go to Yard House for the food. They also have a H.Hour! You know where to fine me. Tip: After ESPN zone's Happy hour ends at 5pm make your way out to Yard House ( 1 minute walk) and continue Happy Houring it ( if that's a word) since it ends at 6PM. ”
“ Hewooooooooooo I AM BACK (sort of not really) But jump on this bandwagon because the LA Kings are on fire! Something Billy Joel sang about except he really didn't start the fire; The Penalty Box did!! This bar is purposely intended for hockey fans and by this I mean KINGS fans. Their sizzling, hot, burning specials has me coming back like a yo-yo. * They have $7.50 pitchers of beer specials ( Bud Light, Rolling Rock, PBR) * They have $2.50 glasses of beer * They have a special food menu of appetizers/entrees and while I'm glued to their pitchers of beers they also have a short list of mixed drinks at special rates. Keep in mind that the bar downstairs or any other bars outside of Nokia Live are MUCH more expensive than this place. Thus why its such a bargain to come here. The interior of this place is hockey mind blowing. Kings jerseys up on the wall, signed skates in protective boxes, LA KINGS emblems all over ; you basically are a human zebra with black and white all over. Its super neat! Sal D, Beth R, and a few other yelpers are regulars here, the bartenders now recognize us as we come here often. One catch though? They are only open when Kings play (home or away) so get there early as space is small but its well worth it. You get a nice scenery as its on the 2nd level of ESPN ZONE and you can check out the specs on Staples Center and Nokia Live. Its beauuuuuuuutiful! Catch me if you can at this place. Go Kings Go! ”
